This is EXACTLY why Les is the person we need as headcoach. I've been hot and cold on him, but always think he's the best PERSON we could have as a coach. Mack brown is an example of how a coach is more of a CEO and hires tough assistants to run the show and be a hard-arse.
By helping these guys get better/other jobs and not firing them, he'll attract the best up and coming coaches.

This comment of yours is absurd and you did not pay attention this year. Les stood behind Lee more than most all coaches would. Spurrier, Pete Carroll, Saban, Tubby all make specific and hard comments about their players - especially QB's. I wish Les would have been more direct about poor QB play instead of the unyeilding support given Lee.

no one can complain about Miles backing Lee. He had too much patience with him imo. Lee would still be playing if it wasn't for him getting hurt. Mile is a player's coach. But with that said i respect the way Miles handles things.

By the way, I agree completely with the article. Les's nice guy attitude I think is hard for some fans to swallow. When you see coaches yelling and carrying on like Saban does, it communicates to you that he is as upset as you are and that the situation is under control. But there is more than one way to run a railroad (and a football team).
