It was just a few years ago that the media was throwing his name out there for every job that would come open. Hell, I think he might have passed on the Alabama job when Shula got fired.

I found that out a few years ago and was surprised. He’s a Mr. Rogers type nice guy who is a Corvallis, Oregon native, drives a Prius and bikes to work. Not exactly what comes to mind when you think of Bryant players.

What are you talking about? Nebraska already has a deal done w/ Frost.

If Nebraska already has a deal with Frost then Riley will be fired in the next 2 days . If UCF loses Saturday then Frost will be ready move on to his new team.

We offered him the job after Fran left but he turned us down. He had it made at Oregon State and didn't really need to take the Nebraska job. Part of me thinks he took the NU job because deep down he regretted turning down Bama in 2002.
Odd guy. Has always been a West Coach guy despite playing for Bama. Might be one of the last Bryant players coaching.

I take it you don't know how Moos operates. He doesn't believe in firing a guy until the end of the season. That being said, he had a deal with Leach at WSU before their other coach was fired. Same thing here. Riley will be let go November 25, the day after their last game. Then Frost will be brought in.
