Sounds like Golding may be headed to Ole Miss.

Alabama needs new blood at DC and Ole Miss needs a more experienced DC.

Both schools would get what they want with this move.

Nothing official yet, but there's speculation we move him back to a non-play-callimg co-DC like he was before this past season.

There's a reason why we let our DB coach go to Purdue and we haven't filled the role... Golding as play calling co-DC and DB coach.

Would rather have Bryan Brown, but since he just moved with Satterfield to Cincy not sure he would change jobs a 2nd time this off season.

So you think Golding would leave his current position as sole DC of Alabama to go be co-DC at ole miss. Lmao some of y’all crack me up.

I think Saban is telling him to take it and land on his feet rather than be fired or moved to just a position coach at Bama. I don't think he's choosing to go to OM because he prefers that job, I think he's being told to find an out and it's landing on his feet as a DC in the SEC over formally being let go.

Golding will leave if he has no other choice.

Would he rather be fired than take the Ole Miss job? This is what I would do if I was him.

No. That’s what he’s doing. Saban is giving him an out instead of having to fire him.

Why would Golding make this move? He had a possible opportunity under BK with a school that has way more resources and better talent than Ole Miss? This seems like he'd be forced out of Bama and I can't see that happening. Saban likes Golding a lot.

Unless he's being forced out this doesn't make sense for him to move to there when they lack talent on defense.

He does like Golding a lot, but he also realizes a change is needed. Which is why Golding is being given time to land on his feet somewhere rather than just being fired outright.

Never underestimate that feeling you get in your belly strolling around the square on a spring afternoon.

I think he's in a "resign or we'll fire you" situation. This isn't 100% his choice. He's being processed.

Same with BoB

Saban has gotten way soft by being too nice to people he likes. Last year seems to have lit the old fire again where he's a cold, ruthless program builder.

There is a history of this with guys taking lesser jobs instead of officially having to be fired. Doug Nussmeier is one example I remember well as it led to Lane Kiffin becoming OC. The Golding to Ole Miss rumor has been swirling for awhile.
