Odom wouldn’t be that bad even Steele brings value in recruiting but we’ve been down that road.

Isn't he presumably a 3-4 guy?

Os been exposed on being married to a system; hire the person Schu seems to check most boxes.

Are we still clinging to the dumb idea that coaches can’t coach different systems?

If Schumann or Jim Leonhard, or anyone else, isn’t smart enough to coach either a 3-4 or a 4-3, then I wouldn’t want them.

I would love this hire. Always thought he was my No 1 but understood Freeman especially after sone of the turmoil this year. When he snubbed us I really thought this would be the hire cause I assumed Nielsen was a pro guy at this point.

Schumann and Nielsen may be top 3 right now, but if O could get both in a Co-DC role??? That would likely be strong, and favor the Peetz-Mangus type of roles, ie. both possess different and compatible strengths.

Highly doubtful Schumann leaves Kirby for a lateral position

My question. The talk was lanning leaving and instead of just promoting schu to dc they are talking about bringing in muschamp. Why isn’t the talk of promoting him as lone dc with control? I generally am wondering. I have no idea on him other then what has been said here

Muschamp likely will be an analyst in Athens until his son finishes school.

Now, if both Lanning and Schumann left, he could be the new DC.

You really think thats the extent of his coaching?

Amazing that so many schools go after his assistants year after year.
3 assistants are now P5 HC's and 2 others are in the running for P5 DC jobs this year and Lanning obviously turned down the Texas job.

Why are so many of his assistants in such high demand if he's such a shitty coach?
