But it is funny that ever sense people were claiming he was the next Saban, he's lost 3 straight
He will still pick his job for next year

Fuentes is riding the coat tail of a great QB. We did that with another coach we hired once... guy by the name of Curley Hallman via Brett Favre.

No way. A good QB alike could not do what he has done at Memphis. You have no idea how bad this program was before him. It's not just the QB

he's another hot up and comer coach that most likely won't pan out..
we see this time and time again
it is not worth it. he can't even win in his own conference with a beast of a QB.. then how in the hell is he going to win in big boy ball consistently

I love how LSU fans always assume the SEC is some other world of football that no one else could possibly comprehend or understand unless they are currently a coach in the SEC right now.

The guy has Memphis in a spot where they could have back to back 10 win seasons. Are people forgetting how bad they were before him? On top of that the success has been a steady up tick every year for him. So you can't just say he is a flash in a pan. He is more proven as a head coach than Tom Herman.

Fuente is a great coach I would love to have at LSU. Think about what he's doing...at Memphis. This is not Boise State. For probably the last 8 years prior to him getting here it was the worst program in the FBS. Payton Lynch is a good QB but it's not like he chose Memphis over FSU, the kid had to be developed. Something we haven't done here since Jimbo left. Also take a look at the playmakers on O, they are all former walk-ons. LSU need someone who can develop talent, not recruit it. Thanks to Saban and Miles LSU is its own brand and getting a great recruiting staff should be more of a concern than a great recruiting head coach.

Wait a year on Fuentes.
See what he does without a great QB.

You have no idea what the hell you are talking about.
Andy Dalton 2 years
408/639 (63.8%) 5613 yards (8.78 ypa) 50 TDs 14 ints, 202 car 4.69 ypc 947 yards 9 TDs
Casey Pachall 1 year
228/343 (66.5%) 2921 yards (9.1 ypa) 25 TDs 7 ints, 68 car 51 yards (.8 ypc) 2 TDs
Paxton Lynch 3 years
733/1154 (63.5%) 8535 yards (7.4 ypa) 52 TDs 22 ints, 282 car 681 yards (2.8 ypc) 17 TDs
Pachall and Dalton looked completely (not good) different when he wasn't coaching them.

I guess Jim McElwain is garbage too huh?

Is this a board joke or something? His last name is FUENTE, not Fuentes like 90% of people are saying.
