As I just said in the other thread... rather unprecedented. He must have been very attached to this team.

This was the biggest disappointment to me, that he wouldn't finish the year. Glad to see, he and this team are tight. Good luck to Frost.

I support this. Guy deserves to be with his team for the bowl game. Especially since it's a New Years 6 bowl ad not some garbage bowl

and because everyone admits NU is a major rebuild at this point. a few weeks of recruiting isn't going to matter in the long term

Meanwhile FSU throws a two week temper tantrum and didn’t even let Jimbo coach the final regular season game.

Yeah I’m pumped about that. See you guys in Atlanta?

Hopefully UCF beats the piss out of their opponent
I hear it's either gonna be Pedo State or OSU. Which would give Frost a taste of the B1G

If anything this is the best thing to happen to Nebraska for their recruiting this offseason. It would look pretty good for potential recruits to see their future HC knock off someone like Ohio state in Atlanta.
The Husker fans trashing this move on twitter/message boards are fricking morons.

Wow look. A nice NE fan- a rarity from what I’ve seen.
UCF will be fine with Sumlin coming in (heard it hear first) building on what Frost started.

That’s unheard of.
Nah. Urban coached Utah in the Fiesta Bowl after accepting Florida job.
Very similar situations. A mid major in a huge bowl game after going undefeated before the coach moves on to a P5 job.

Why would UCF want this?
Mack Brown Coached Tulane in the Indy Bowl against Washington...I didn't like it at all.

Because it's UCF, and they'll probably never be this good again. For example Tulane.
Might as well make it epic instead of being remembered as just another mid major not belonging with the big boys.
Frost gives them the best chance to win.

They made a NY6 bowl just a few years back
