I've also heard we're not about to settle for Napier level and we're getting a big name type so this is exciting as hell to say the least.
This type of thinking is a mistake. It is a mistake to pass up someone just because of the level they are currently at. Not saying Napier is the guy. But if a guy checks off the boxes you are looking for you shouldn't pass him up just because he is at a mid level program. Saban was at a mid level before. Urban was at Bowling Green.

What makes you think he won’t be at Oklahoma when they come to the SEC? The NFL?

Good. I don't want his rape-coverin-up arse here.

Dabo is the 2nd guy and I’m going to stick with it until I hear otherwise.
Maybe it is just me but Dabo doesn't any sense whatsoever. He is basically a younger Orgeron with morals. He brings nothing special coaching wise to the table.

I really hope it's not Dabo. Even if he's successful, we'd have worry about him going back to his alma mater when Saban retires. The optics of that would be terrible.
I still think he's swinging for Riley then Jimbo. Cristobal and Napier would be next.

Urban was at Bowling Green.
And then utah hired him, he didnt go from bowling green to florida, he made a natural progression, just like napier should by going to tcu or another mid-level p5 school.

Two NC's and two appearances in the NC games, yes nothing special, move along, nothing to see here.

And then Utah where he won a BCS bowl. Thats a pretty big stretch to compare last year's first responder bowl winning coach to.

Woodward secured the coach then fired O.

The amount of $$$ being thrown out as bait for our tier 1 candidates is fricking ridiculous and is scaring some.
Woodward has been turned down by our tier 1 candidates roughly 5-6 times already and is coming back time and time again.
Napier camp has fingers crossed that Woody gives up. The new coach will have a gentleman’s agreement before LSU plays ULM.

What? So you’re so close to Woody and his targets you know he’s been turned down 5 or 6 times? Lol!
Posted on 11/11/21 at 5:06 pm to Lebowski
I don’t know anyone that knows Woodward like that . People know because they know how much the top dollar has gone up each time. Sexton keeps his clients in the know for how much they’re going to ask for in a raise.
That number has gone up 5-6 times
Mostly on two candidates, Jimbo and Riley. Not as offers but as feelers.
“How does this number sound to get you out of OU?”
“Not good enough”
Literally just that. It’s numbers and fliers that get bounced around so they know who is a realistic get when it comes down to crunch time which we’re rapidly nearing.
If they get one or their top candidates they’re going to be the highest paid coach in the country. Anyone o the second tier will be top 10.
The terms “first tier” and “second tier” obviously aren’t being used when referring to clients or potential hires but it’s a well-known colloquialism on here

You’re assuming Woody is sincerely trying to land Jimbo and Riley.
Don’t forget that A&M and OU are the competition.
I’m sure he’d certainly reevaluate if they eventually said Yes, but the end game expectation may not necessarily be that they’ll be LSU’s next coach.

I mean… I just say what others tell me and fill in blanks.
I have no real dog in the fight. Everyday is a struggle with just trying to get our house repaired after the storm. I’m fortunate to have made friends over the years that have made it to higher places than I have and I’m thankful for them willing to share tidbits with me.

Bro no shite were a week or two away. The season is over in two weeks and we need a coach before early signing period. Where do you slapdicks come from.

I’m sure they want Riley but I believe there’s a lot of variables at play with Riley that would need to start happening pretty quickly to push the conversation forward or Woodward will move on.
Woody isn’t going to wait til after the playoffs to START a conversation IMO.
Lol you’re so fricking clueless. You’re dimwitted arse has no idea how this works.
