I enjoy the whole Godfather of Louisiana with the black leather jacket and being recruiting director.

On the field is a different situation

When is the last time LSU had a RB to their standards? Wilson's RBs have underwhelemed post Miles era. He's not good enough to hold LSU hostage. I 100% agree with Lane on this decision. We need coaches and developers. I really question Wilson's ability. Especially since he's getting paid like 1 million a year which is insane for a RB coach.

We can’t keep a coach that has 2 RB’s on the roster, underperforming, no 2026 RB commits, and 2 of his last 5 signees kicked off for legal issues because we can’t find another way to recruit the city an hour away.

Yeah, I feel like we need to have an honest evaluation of every recruit Wilson has brought in since he returned.

Because if keeping Frank means a continuation of the status quo, we're going to run out of RB's. If Frank Wilson is so important to recruiting New Orleans that we have to give up fielding RB's, then we really need a good overhead view of every recruit he's been responsible for and how they've done.

The best player in New Orleans for 2027 is already committed to Texas. Isn’t Frank supposed to prevent that

It’s so ludicrous. Is LSU that out of touch with New Orleans, or is Frank Wilson literally running an actual mafia?

He is just not all he’s cracked up to be no matter what anyone says. We haven’t had a bruiser RB in YEARS. The RBs decline…Harlem Berry is here yes and he’s good but he could be even better with a real RBs coach. Frank is overrated…sorry but it’s all about the dollar these days. He won’t make much difference. We need an actual RBs coach. Not a good ole boy. So tired of the good ole boy shite.

Good. Let him go to UT and coach down their RBs.

Settle down Shirly. I'm sure Lane Kiffin knows what he's doing.

You have people that still have the mindset of NO being a huge problem for LSU, the brand has changed in the last few decades

Could there be some short term damage if Frank goes to UT? Yeah maybe but if Lane wins with his fun offense here, none of that shite will matter. Do we keep a poor coach on staff in perpetuity to appease NO? It’s silly

Kelly needed him back because he was having issues recruiting the state or recruiting in general really

This makes me wonder if Frank takes it if he tries to get Harlem to go with him

Just show Harlem film of every running back at LSU who flashed freshman year only to get coached "down" by Wilson and get worse each year.

with NIL, does someone like wilson matter as much for what he doesnt bring to the table coaching wise?

personally, and yes, i know he's not a great RB coach, but i'd rather have him than not... i'd figure out a way to keep him, if possible

Then find a role in recruiting. Pay him the same thing. If he's intent on being an on the field RB coach due to his ego, then cya. Let Texas ruin their RBs.
