Does Texas still have an interim AD? This is a big decision for a guy that won't be around much longer.

Yep. That's why it has to be a home run hire that everyone (big boosters and fans) will be excited about.
Perrin has consistently said that a decision will not be made until the end of the regular season. The media has a hard time grasping that.
Strong's last game is merely 4 days away. As we should, we're respectfully allowing Strong to finish the last 0.2 miles of his marathon career at Texas. He deserves to coach his group and make one final appearance in Darrell K. Royal stadium.
After that, win or lose, Strong will be let go. I know the media is trying to beat us to the punch, but that's when the finality will come.
Perrin, as an interim AD, will then signup Herman. That's one of the few coaches that everyone can be excited and will be content with. It'll be an exciting new era in Austin.
