I just read the tea leaves. Woodward has told several people in the last few days. Everyone will love the hire. Napier is flirting with Florida. Woodward went duck hunting yesterday. The deal is done. Whoever it is, Woodward has his guy. Just waiting to announce it.

This is true, as reported on the OU boards. I would think Scott has been selling him on the relative ease of recruiting at LSU.

Apparently there are major concerns from Lincoln and his staff that they will not be able to recruit the kind of classes that he will need to win in what will presumably be the SEC West. Take a chill pill. Both Miles and Orgeron won National Championships at LSU. Go ask Georgia fans if they would have taken either IF a Natty came with them. They would. Ask any school but Bama if they would have taken either IF a Natty came with them.
I'm amazed at the collective amnesia so many LSU fans have.
Miles was no Hallman. Orgeron was no Archer.
Whatever their downfall was, they both ascended to title games at LSU for a reason.

No it isn’t. I’ve lived and worked in Texas for 12 years. That alumni base is solid as Hell.
To that point, my 2 oldest are likely to be Aggies.
