Shula won 10 games a year removed from getting fired.

That one 10 win season was the only year he actually had a winning record. He never won more than 6 games in his other 3 seasons.

Houston Nutt >>> Bob Stoops according to you?

According to the head to head win loss record you guys just love to use, Nutt = Miles = Stoops.

So it's okay to fire 10 win coaches? You will be able to hire a replacement? Or are your changing your point now?

I'd love someone to post a link of coaches who have a combined record of 52-14 over the last 5 years. My bet is that there are less than 7 of them.

The bottom line is a minimum 2-loss season is the best you can expect from Miles. And that's with top 5 talent.

WTF?? YOU were the first one to bring up Miles record vs. Nutt. The whole point of the Stoops comparison was to show how stupid it is to just use them to judge coaches.

Shula was not a ten win coach! That was the whole point of me bringing up how horrible he was his other seasons. Why are my posts so hard to understand? Seriously, are you mentally okay?

___________
7 != 10
___________

I was in school for Archer and Curley. If you told me that one out of every five seasons we'd have an 8 win season, the rest would be 10+ win seasons and we'd have at least one SECC out of each 5 yr period I'd be quite happy. It is called perspective, folks. And those of you that think this program is in decline don't have any.

If Miles left, I'd want Patterson. There's no way to KNOW he would do a good job, but that's the guy I would want to take a chance on.
