Burrow in 2018 was nowhere near the Burrow of 2019. Brady made Chase, Jefferson, Marshall, Moss, and Helaire better pass catchers and route runners. It sure wasn't the tutelage of WR coach Mickey Joseph. Coach O said we run the Saints offense, well that came from Brady. It takes a good to great QB play, but those receivers have to get open and catch the ball for Burrow to complete over 5,000 passing yards.

What’s your point? We hiring Sean P?

He's not doing anything in the NFL other than putting McCafferey on IR.

Yeah I’ve never understood the people that want to give him zero credit. What he was able to accomplish with the wide receivers alone was a game changer for that season.

Brady didn’t recruit any of those players.

Burrow is on the verge of taking the Bengals to the playoffs
Do you need reminding how bad that organization has been the last decade?

He deserves some credit but he’s not some genius football wizard like people make him out to be.

Yeah, they're flaming out in the NFL. It was all Brady. Seriously, who is doing better - those players without Brady or Brady without those players.

You are SO WRONG!

Before 2018 Burrow had only played in a few games that didn't matter in his career. By the end of 2018 Burrow was the Burrow of 2019 where he just got better.

I will say it: Burrow made Brady and Coach O rich!

Doesn't he have Chase and Moss on that team?

This needs repeating...

So if it was all just Burrow being a great QB, then why wasn't that GREAT offense on display in 2018 before Brady got here?

Because Burrow got here only a few months before season and had no time to gel with his receivers like he did in 2019.

True, he really helped the WRs.
He helped SE install a good passing game too. We all saw that.

He was a key piece, but without Joe neither O or Brady get their big deals.

At the end of 2018 JB was pretty damn good. For the people who don't understand how important timing with wr's and learning a new system is there is no hope for you. Burrow and LSU made a guy who has never been a coach look like the best coach in the country. Also look what each of those offensive weapons is doing in the NFL without Brady

Brady may have brought the offense, but he didn’t call it the majority of the time, and didn’t execute it. Steve, for whatever you want to make of his time here, called plays well. Look back to ‘16 when he was interim OC. Outside of Bama, our offense exploded with the same playbook. Steve didn’t have innovative plays, he just knew how and when to call plays.

Brady should be credited bringing the new system to LSU and E. But E called them the majority of the time, and did so exceptionally well.
