Florida targeting Houston's Belk, OSU's Knowles as DC

Expected Florida coaching hire Billy Napier has eyes for two of the nation's top assistants for his defensive coordinator role, according to 247Sports college football analyst Carl Reed. Oklahoma State assistant Jim Knowles or Houston's Doug Belk are considered top targets for Napier, who aims to quickly assemble his coaching staff with the Early Signing Period approaching.
Knowles has led the Big 12's top defense to an 11-1 record this season and a berth in next week's conference championship game against Baylor. Houston also has 11 wins and the Cougars takes on playoff threat Cincinnati in the American Athletic Conference title contest.

Ever since his first contract with us, Napier was willing to take a little less to add more money to the assistants pool. He is all about building the best staff possible. I imagine he’s going to put one hell of a group together.
