Florida choaching turmoil as a buffer?

Now that Meyer is taking a leave of abscence instead of retiring and the OC will be leading the team in the bowl game is this just th PR of laying a buffer for a potential loss to Cincy?

More of an acknowledgment that next season, after losing almost the entire starting defense and Tebow, Florida will not be dominating. Myer takes a year off, the team goes 8-4 or 7-5, then he comes back when the defense and offense both mature, and he is back in the championship hunt.

I think in the last 24 hours recruites for 2010 class were about to jump ship and he is trying to make them think he is coming back.

The real question is whether a leave of absence makes him not make major decisions? Does he chose the DC? What if a recruit wants to talk to him? Who decides who starts? Does he get paid a salary? Who gets credit for wins and losses?

My immediate reaction to his leave of absence is that he is going to hang around through February, wait for the ink to dry on all those LOI, and then step down completely.

maybe not, but its sets him up perfectly for not taking the blame for the rebuilding process the next two years, and throwing this Addazio guy completely under the bus. Then he comes back in smelling like a rose.
