All that jumping up and rock star, crowd surfing shite that Fleck does doesn't seem a little odd and cheese dick to anybody else?
yes I think he's way overrated. Dude would of gotten beat down on the recruiting trail in the SEC west.

In what world does Oregon beat LSU in a coaching search?
Apparently, this one.

What has Fleck done to deserve a big time program? He has only coached WR. Was never an OC. He was recruited coordinator for 1 year and Northern Illinois. So what has he done besides turn around a shitty program in a shitty conference?

People like you don't get it. You think that LSU or other big programs can just wait around for this perfect golden boy coach situation to align with the exact time that LSU needs a HC, and that coach will genuflect at the altar of LSU (or whoever). Coach needs to be "proven," that's what people like you say.
Perfect is the enemy of good. Sometimes you need to get a good coach, a coach that is winning big on a smaller stage and hope he becomes a great one. This dream where a coach with a full trophy case, that guy isn't coming to LSU. Why would he?
It's very rare that a coach goes from one top program to another. And given the buffoonery that governs LSU football, I don't even think we qualify as a top program anymore. That idiot Alleva and his crew downgrade the program that much.

He's given Western Michigan more exposure than they ever dreamed of. Oregon's list included Chip (doesn't want to recruit and declined us), Kiffen (big red flags), Harsin (not easy to get along with) and Taggart (gives up a lot of points). Please tell me Fleck isn't worth the risk?
Fleck, even if he isn't a giant success, will keep eyes on Oregon.
Also, the coordinators I am hearing he'll poach are young and energetic. This staff, if it comes to fruition, will be a recruiting boon.

Good for y'all. Uncle Phil can now have Nike Oars and Row Boats for sale! Seriously, I think a good hire.

So when Helf realized the possibility of Oregon moving in another direction, his frame of minded shifted to those loyal assistant coaches that have poured their hearts and souls into the Oregon program for a length of time that is unheard of in the profession.
“There were all those rumors out there and all that stuff, at that point, you’re kind of thinking of every possible scenario. Obviously he had been contacted a few times or something.”
“It was just probably more selfishly than anything when you start thinking of your assistants and all the support staff, all these people. If he were to come back here, some of those people would be safe.”
On the Ducks staff currently are guys like Steve Greatwood (OL), Gary Campbell (RBs), Tom Osborne (TEs), Don Pellum (LBs) and John Neal (DBs) who all had served as assistants under Kelly, so you can certainly understand Helf’s thought process in doing everything he can to try and preserve the jobs of those guys as well as relatively new additions to the staff in Brady Hoke, David Yost, Matt Lubick and Ron Aiken.
Asked about Kelly “hating” the recruiting aspect of coaching at the college level, Helf responded, “I’m not sure if he hated recruiting…dislike, a strong dislike.”

"Hey Chip, come take my job"

I hear Alleva was speaking with Fleck's agent, but then heard that PJ once took a family vacation to Crater Lake and immediately pulled the offer.

Fleck is a used car salesman that the media is in love with.

Kiffen (big red flags)
Biggest red flag being that he does not prefer his name being spelled that way.
