no way that guy ever equals helf as a playcaller, but he's exactly what oregon needs for recruiting.

Very good hire.. Oregon is a great program but tough to recruit. Fleck is the perfect guy to take on that task.

High ceiling low floor depending on who his staff is. I'd bet the A.D. thinks he's fired if they need another head coach in a couple years so might as well try to swing for the fences.
I don't like Western Michigan's offense but maybe it would look better with Oregon's players. I really don't like USF's offense (Taggart) and it looks like it will get Oregon's QB hurt pretty quick.

Helfrich was never a play caller at Oregon. Fleck has never been a play caller.

I'm not sure a coach would leave Oregon for LSU, at least not in three years.
Fleck would be looking to succeed in the hopes of getting to the NFL or just staying there for a while.
BTW - Rutgers could have had him. Twice. They turned him down for worse options. Twice.
