I agree. He’s proven what he can do and he has ties there. I think that will go a long way. I also think he comes across as a more serious choice than Kiffin. Lane and his antics work great at OM, but I’m not sure his shite will go over the same at A&M.

Lanning would probably be great too, but he’s the one guy they probably can’t just money-whip.

Some guys are about to get some big extensions out of this.

I don’t see how that’s possible. He doesn’t give two shits about big-time recruiting. He’s a coach ‘um up guy. That would be an all-time terrible fit.

Oregon can’t let Lanning go. They’ve lost their last 2 coaches, they have to pay him anything.

I love when people come out and say things like this so matter of factly. As if they have it all figured out. You completely underestimate the immense power of $$$$$$. Especially A&M $$$$.
Nike Phil can match anything from Aggie and why would he leave now? If anything, he will replace Saban when the time comes. He is making 7MM now through 28. He may be the right person but I just don’t see him leaving with an easier path.

Norvell has an easy path to the playoffs. Maybe he will go over to Aggie with the expansion -who knows but I’m thinking he is pretty happy in FSU being undefeated and no one to compete with. He is making 8.55 per year in income tax free like Texas. How much more does he need or want to go into a conference that will be really hard to win in?

Elko. He was the coach most responsible
for wins in the Jimbo era.

A&M is a tough place to win. They are surrounded by programs that are historically much better than them. Texas to the West. Oklahoma to the North. LSU to the East
