Listen, if Herman comes to LSU it will not be his destination job. I don't believe Herman will jump into a lateral situation. Herman has NFL written all over his forehead. The same with Aranda IMO. Also, LSU is willing to pay Jimbo $6.75 with incentives to $7.5 million so if Herman was winning or wins a title what won't we pay?

Agree, Jimbo is content at being in college football. We are talking about probably the best QB developer in the country. Something LSU has been dying for.
Herman on the other hand is a genius 160 plus IQ Mensa member. His limits are his own and when you are that smart and driven the sky is the limit. I see Herman using LSU as a stepping stone and there is nothing wrong with that at all. I don't think the administration should use that against him.

This search isn't good for my health lol. It's so hard to truly get a feel for what's next, and that's part of it. I just hope whoever our next coach is, truly wants to be here. I'll support whoever, but hope we don't have to go too far down our list.
I know Aranda has pro aspirations, and Herman seems like the type. How deadly could they be if we could pair them up for at least a couple of years though? Could be an unrealistic pipe dream. Either way, I just hope we keep playing physical defense, and hope to God we can have a pulse on offense.

With Jimbo playing LSU for a raise ect and with Herman possibly looking elsewhere longterm does that open the door for another HC who hasn't been mentioned?

LISTEN, LSU CANNOT MISS ON THIS frickING HIRE!!!
It's Jimbo or Herman or 10 years of our psyche broken. It would mean that our program is not one of the elite jobs in the country anymore. The fan base would have a really hard time getting behind the next coach.

Getting a feeling we will be screwed. Both are using LSU for leverage. If lucky to get Herman he bolts in a few. Maybe Fleck in a few years but we want to win now and not have to do a Saban again.

You're so right, and it's so obvious that it's all over.
LSU will not be able to hire a head coach, so they won't be able to play football in 2017, or ever again.

I have a great source. I don't tell all though because I like getting the info I get. I don't come here everytime I get an update and spill the beans. I just know it won't be the top 2 everyone wants. Leverage is the key in any coaching search. Someone has to be used.

Right?!? The number of people who "know" things about this hire is becoming nearly impossible to keep up with. I'm sure some really do, but it's almost impossible to know at this point.
