Why is the assumption that he didn't want to come here? LSU just interviewed him today and by the evening, word is out he won't be the DC.
That quick of a turnaround indicates there wasn't even any negotiations do while its possible Arnett took himself out of consideration, its also a real possibility he didn't blow them away and LSU wants to do more interviews.

This is what I've been reading. He didn't measure up to Marcus Freeman in any way. His application is sitting on the desk, but he ain't no Marcus Freeman.

Why would he even come to town to interview unless he was fairly sure he was going to get the job? Miss. St. should not be too happy that he is flirting around with other SEC schools. Unless this is part of a ploy to get a raise at State.

Meh we're used to it and kind of expect it. Our ROI is freaking unbelievable. It would be nice if other SEC schools could identify up and coming coaching talent instead of poaching.

Watch out boys he's coming. The shrimp boat captain is here to poach your coaches...except we're not poaching anyone. Maybe we can go to Harvard's staff and poach some coaches over there since LSU seems to like to recruit grad athletes from over there. Clearly they can at least coach an Oline better than LSU can. Why not take a look at the D coach over there?
