I know he doesn't jump off the page at you but Fedora has done a pretty good job at UNC. He has had to deal with sanctions from Butch and still managed to win 11 games last year. He just signed his first full recruiting class this past year. He also had a 12 win season at So Miss. I think he's a solid hire.

Larry Porter is rb's coach and special teams. He also knows louisiana recruiting.

I have liked him as a candidate, but cooling on him a bit. I think his offensive HUNH style is over the top heavy passing. Time of possession is awful. He'd be a full pendulum swing away from Miles. A little too much maybe.

I think he would adjust what he does to fit what he has at LSU

He had better recruiting classes while under probation than he does now. His ability to recruit should disqualify him.

I like Fedora, a little concerned about his recruiting

LSU beat Georgia in Athens and the coaches threw their hats in the stands. I caught Larry Porter's. Fun day!

Fedora is a better option than people think.
As all good coaches, he will adjust to the conference and the strengths of his players.

Look at Aranda...constant adjustment to form better product.

Fedoras offense provides a much better chance at beating Bama than what we have seen this past year or any other for the last 8.

Fedora's best win in his 11win season was a 7-5 Pitt team. Wrap your brain around that. He is 1-4 against teams that have finished in the top 25. 2-7 against teams that were ranked at the time they played.

After his ONE good year at southern miss. Two different coaches won ONE ballgame in TWO years.

His supporters say it was Ellis Johnson's fault. Ellis coached ONE season. The other coach was Todd monken. Todd monken is serving his second stint in the NFL. Pretty good coach. He won three games in two years following fedora and Johnson. He finally turned southern miss around to win 9 games.

Now, if you look at the four years after fedora, southern miss won four games. That is not all on Johnson who coached one season.

Fedora doesn't need to recruit as much as he needs to be an X an O guy. Keep the staff together for the most part and get a dline coach.
This team would be a monster in 2 years. Of course Saban will be retiring by then, so there's that.
