He doesn't have a real shot and he knows it. That's why he is considering LSU and Florida in the middle of a great season. Just go look at the top 10 HS players in Mississippi and see where they are committed. If he wants to have a talented enough team every year to make the playoffs then its LSU. No brainer.

Because of the format, some smaller programs will get in the playoff and one has to wonder if those teams really should be there based on who they are playing during the year.

Or the ACC champion who will likely be trash.

If say Duke wins the conference should they get in over Tulane who beat them?

If only Ole Miss was next to a talent rich state.....if only Ole Miss could possibly sway those players....perhaps financially to move to Mississippi.

LSU and UF are very, very, very equal jobs. From Natties, to SEC titles, to money, to recruiting locations, from fanbases...hard to find more equal jobs in CFB at all. Head to head is very even at 34-35-3..

Insane how equal the jobs are in most catagories. Even down to NFL draft picks.

LSU generally locks down it's top 10. Even in bad years they get 6 or 7. LSU is by far the best spot to lock down talent in comparison to Florida and especially Ole Miss.

I would agree but lack of in state rival to recruit against puts LSU over the top against Florida. And I view Florida as an elite elite job. It's not a knock on Florida. LSU just has a very unique situation.

What a dumb question.

Just tired of re-hashing the same “it’s done” threads. Plus, I was really referring to the future after this season. But thanks for your contribution.

No they don’t.

This is was supposed to be a rebuilding year and yet Ole Miss is 10-1 with only loss to arguably the best program in CFB. You can win anywhere in this era.... sure it's easier at LSU/UF but the gaps aren't as big as they were 10 years ago.

LSU is definitely the fastest track - I have no clue where UF's swagger comes from - they've been a shitshow for a while now.

I do think so yes. Especially since UF hasn’t even sniffed a good season in 5 or 6 years. I mean we got Jayden Daniels to come here and had one of the best offenses ever

And do those players now stay at LSU a full 4-5 years?

Just like trying to go back to the year 2000 to judge 'which team' is more likely to win a natty 1st.

With NIL and unlimited transfers just 'being LSU' isn't that much of an advantage anymore.

Saying that 'team X' can't win a title in this current landscape is stupid.

No one said Florida can't win a title. The OP asked where can he win one the fastest? All objective evidence from recent history and current year suggests LSU would be the choice.

I am not going to explain why I used 2000 as a break point again. Go read my last post if you want the reasoning.

In a 12-team playoff setting, you need to get in the top 10. LSU is better positioned right now to do that quicker than Florida based on the on-field production, recent records, NIL spending, highschool recruiting, etc.

You can disagree, but give me evidence to the contrary and not just your feelings.

In the current 12 team format none of the 3 teams being talked about has made the playoffs.

Ole Miss is pretty much guaranteed make the playoffs this year so they would be the most likely to win a natty first. Can't win a title if you don't make the dance.

Louisiana puts out as much NFL per capita as any state. You have the easiest access to that talent and if you lose then you have a good shot at getting them back via the portal like Aaron Anderson. LSU is reportedly offering Lane 30 mil in NIL per year as well. So with NIL, the portal, and some
The best talent in the country being right here yes LSU is a MUCH better job than Ole Miss and slightly better than Florida.

Doesn't UF only have TWO championships since 2000? ('06/'08)

It is more relevant than bringing up data from 2000.

Give me 23 years of data over a one year sample size.

There's 12 teams that can play for a title now rather 2 in the BCS era. So data from the year 2000 is completely irrelevant.
