Strike out a lot when you try to hit home runs. A double in the gap is better than the ground ball back to the pitcher like we have had.

No Woodward will hire some obscure coach or coordinator. LSU is not the hot job that everyone wants.

Most likely, Jim, I've always felt we're more attractive than we apparently really are, and even some national sports writers were talking LSU a top job, yada yada yada. We will end up with an average to above average head coach. I'm 100% convinced. We will all see soon that Woodward is just human like the rest of us. He is not a god like most of these youngsters think he is. He's a Louisiana guy, so they all wanna suck his d, but he's just a businessman like any other, not a god.

It’s fair to say the longer this takes the higher the profile of the potential hire could be. No coach is going to walk away from the playoffs or a conference championship to accept the job. By process of elimination you can figure out who the “real” candidates are almost on a weekly basis starting Sunday.

It's not Woodward's fault that some of you had unrealistic expectations.
You guys really thought that anyone could swoop in and take a coach that's gone to the playoffs 3 out of 5 years, and the other school was just going to let that happen?
