There's zero chance Kiffin is already making staff decisions. Chill out dude

Frank & O and the southern United States would be fenced. Not just Louisiana. Lol

no doubt both are great recruiters, but I'm sorry if you try to tell me the running backs look good this year gonna have to disagree

I don’t think it’s a priority to keep him. Time for new blood. I can do without him or Orgeron

You think Kiffin bringing O back might be an issue? I mean he is a decent defensive line coach

I think it has some risk that may not be worth the potential reward. It’s not hard to recruit at lsu with effort, NIL, and winning.

How’s he going to do that coaching at Ole Miss?

Nothing on Baker.

Baker is LSU's LB coach and DC. Lane's older brother is his LB coach at Ole Miss.

Nor is it necessarily smart to have a guy on staff that was HC at the school previously.

Lane hired him at UT before Frank came here. He doesn’t need your permission to keep a guy we would likely hire anyway given the opportunity.

He may not want to keep Baker and his defensive staff, but Golding has already made it clear to Ole Miss people that he isn’t following Lane. The OM media is reporting this as fact.

Lane is going to have to hire someone new to run the defense, either way. He may decide it makes sense to hit the ground running and focus on reworking the offense and that side of the staff.

It's crazy. Do people not remembering him laughing about getting the buyout and quitting?

That’s immediately where my mind went when I heard his name floated.

It’s possible since he’s an alum. But G5 jobs aren’t what they used to be. Most P4 coordinators are holding out for lower P4 gigs today. Not sure they would pay him what we are to be DC, either. Him being an alum is pretty much the only compelling point.

The other side is- will Tulane hire him over a lower G5 head coach like Sumrall was?

Why is Golding staying in Oxford? His wife is from there and he played football at Delta St. He’s making a ton as their DC. He’s likely not leaving unless the new head coach forces him out.
