LSU took Joe in after his mismanagement of the Duke scandal. It's time for him to return the favor.

Let's assume for a minute Kendal Briles had no knowledge of the rape coverup and that he wasn't enticing recruits with promises of promiscuous white girls: Someone explain to me how he is anything other than a product of neoptism?

He has two years as a playcaller, one at Baylor after daddy was fired and one at FAU. Nobody should care what he did at FAU and his year at Baylor they went 6-6 with their worst offensive output in 6 years. Prior to that he was a passing game coordinator and OC in name only, Art called the plays until he was fired.

If LSU wants a HUNH boundary spread offense, there are five or six infinitely more qualified guys they could hire in a second. Why the frick would you want Briles? This isn't an attack on LSU, you can do better.

He was coordinator at Baylor for two years and he had top 6 offenses both times (#1 ranked offense as a coordinator in 2015 under his dad, #6 in 2016). His offense at FAU was ranked 9th. Yea, what a scrub.

So he was a coordinator 3 years and had 3 top 10 offenses and slipped a little after the whole Baylor fiasco. You’re right, WTF are we thinking?

Oh that’s right, you’re a fricking Aggie.

Briles by his own admission didn't call plays in 2015, he was OC in title only. His 2016 offense was the worst at Baylor since the year RG3 tore his achilles and missed almost the whole year. And nobody cares how many points he scored on directional schools at FAU.

I wasn't an athlete, and a major perk of college was promiscuous girls. What happened at Baylor was horrible. There is plenty of blame to go around, but I believe it was a lack of leadership from the administration that caused the scandal to be as big as it was. When everyone from the Waco police to the school president are involved it's a Baylor problem.

If we were hiring someone to be a head coach I'd be more concerned. The less control someone has over a program the less culpable they are/ can be. Any LSU fan can attest that our compliance department can be frustratingly strict, but that infrastructure at LSU gives me faith that nothing like Baylor would happen at LSU.

Well, except when he was suspended for recruiting violations? Does he get credit for those stats?

2016 Baylor offense ranked #6 total offense

#6 ranked offense and you make it sound so fricking terrible. And that’s with Stidham transferring and the starter getting hurt. You sound retarded.

How about this?

quote:

This season, though, the offense has gone national. Baylor, Syracuse, Texas and Tulsa each have a Briles disciple running the scheme

#4, #6, #16, #42 ranked offenses were all Briles disciples in 2016.

Was Art calling plays for them too?

Sounding even more retarded.

Oh so now it doesn’t matter because it doesn’t fit your narrative. Sounding even more retarded.

You have any other reasons why LSU shouldn’t hire Briles?

I think you may not be clearly understanding the situation with Briles. his involvement or non involvement in the rape epidemic at Baylor has not been successfully finalized. there is a possiblility he still could be effected. therefore, it is an extremely risky hire to say the least. meanwhile, it is my understand there is some serious threats from some big boosters about hiring a coach with that in his background.

it doesn't matter is we agree or disagree; it is reality.

Oh I agree it would be a risk, and understand why the administration wouldn't sign off on it. As a fan it's easy to get worked up and want who you see as the best offensive hire. I understand the BoS likely has more information on the situation than I or even O has. There job is to protect the university. (even though I feel they should have protected it from O)

As long LSU makes a good hire without the risk I'm fine. If they go the lazy route and hire E I'm going to melt.

And Gilbert's was ranked #6 without any Baylor baggage. So why is Briles so much better?
