The background on Kelly is why he wont be picked is the word I hear on different brds.
The winning background? Or some kind of personal stuff?

Greg Schiano - Good coach, as he rebuilt one of the biggest laughing-stocks in the country into a respectable team. If he wasn't leaving Rutgers for Miami, though, I doubt he'll leave for Michigan. (He had been a Miami assistant in the past and recruited well in Florida, AFAIK.)
I doubt he'd leave Rutgers for Michigan. Schiano would absolutely leave Rutgers for Penn State, but I think he'll stay at Rutgers if that doesn't pan out.

Jeff Tedford - Has had a good program, off and on, for years at Cal, yet never able to take it to the next level. Good offensive mind which has tutored many highly-drafted QBs such as Aaron Rogers. Not actively looking to leave Berkeley anymore now that construction is beginning on the new athletic facilities. Finished the year poorly by continuing to play using injured QB Nate Longshore, well after he'd sustained a bone chip in his ankle that severely hobbled his abilities.
His wife likes the area, and she makes more money then he does. He's pretty much stuck there.

I think it has to do with the alleged "racist" statements made in connection with the death of someone who was stalking Central Michigan players.

Yeah that sucked but I'd still take him over Carr. Run on every freaking first down. Run, run, pass! You can set your watch to his play calling. I was sick and had a hot pad on my face most of the Mich-OSU game and I was still able to call our plays before they happened without even seeing them line up. First down, that'll be Hart either up the middle or out to the left. Second down, whichever one of those runs Hart didn't do on the first down. Third down attempt a pass while they blitz the crap out of our QB who is obviously still injured and shouldn't be in the game. It's enough to drive you crazy

The Carr mafia wins out. man not only has that dude been wasting talent the past few years, but he's fricking up the future of the program. Good job Lloyd
I hate Lloyd Carr... He has screwed us for too long. If Ferentz get the job I will be the newest LSU fan.

Hey MichiganMan, I'm coming back to A2 for Christmas. We should TP Lloyd's house!

I would think Rich Rodriguez screwed up any chance of that happening

Basically they say that Miles is there for the taking because he won't sign a contract until after the BCS title game and that he is interested still in the job.

balas sure is adamant about that...

hmmmmm still sounds like Kirk is #1. With the timing and money it'll be tough to get Miles. Plus Les has pretty much talked himself into a corner at this point.

it just sounds like more wishful thinking on the UM mod's part. I'm sure some alumni have to be incredibly pissed about the leak, but they blew it.

although since Les is playing the "UM has not spoken to me or my agent yet" card he could say when he said that he had no intentions of leaving LSU, but when UM finally called he could not resist.
