Michigan was Harbaugh's dream job, and he got $9M. So you tell me.

Obviously wasn't his dream job, unless his dream job is all about the $$$$$$$$$.

, that was pulled by arguably the greatest recruiter of all time on a multi national championship run, who also brings in the number one recruiting class every year.

he isn't "arguably" the greatest recruiter of all time, he IS the greatest recruiter of all time. But Herman is no slouch when it comes to recruiting either. I would expect recruiting to pick up big time with Herman in state and out of state. He has been recruiting his arse off at Houston of all places. Think of what he could do here.

If you think someone is going to go to LSU for, say, $1M less a year because of some emotional attachment you think they have, prepare to be disappointed.

Considering the institutional value of hiring the next dominant coach? I don't see why LSU wouldn't go as high as need be if the market value dictated that much.

You'd hope it would be incentive based, but we'll see what the boosters feel is necessary. The real crime isn't paying a Harbaugh or Saban top dollar. The real crime is paying the Houston Nutts and James Franklins 60% of an elite coach's salary.

The real crime is the irresponsible behavior of media, trashing LSU fans then within a few months calling for the same thing, for Miles to be fired.

and Saban will soon cherry pick LSU's 2017 commits as well.

I don't care what talking heads on ESPN say about what coaches say. At the end of the day, it's all about money. If Herman is your dream coach, how much are you willing to pay?

That's just IGNANT. Aside from high paying alma maters there is no such thing as a dream job without knowing the pricetag. His dream job is the one that has the most to offer him.

Well, we didn't want Lacy. We had guys just as good who weren't grade risks.

Tim Williams is a guy we would have taken, but we didn't want him over the guys we had.

Landon Collins and Cam were two we wanted badly. And we had no one at either of those positions who were close to those guys.

And based on that story, he's not even making $7MM. More like $5MM and interest on a life insurance policy.
