Les Miles: Im Probably Staying
quote:
Mettenberger's father, Bernie, tells the paper he doesn't see Miles leaving. The Times-Picayune reports that two LSU players quoted their coach as saying, "I'm probably staying." And a high-ranking LSU official said: "Don't worry. He's not leaving."

on NOLA.com, before meeting with Mich, Miles apparently told some of his players "im probably staying".

i saw an espn insider article that cited tigerdroppings as a source
espn insider is nothing that a few clicks on google can't find out, with more concise articles from local guys

The article doesn't say anything we don't already know. States 3 options in Pelini, Tubbs, and Malzahn. And how a highly ranked LSU official said do not worry he isn't leaving. And also says the thing about Mett staying regardless..

It's nothing that hasn't been repeated here ad nauseam:
-Miles told his players he was more than likely staying.
-Mettenberger is coming regardless.
-IF he goes, Tubbs, Malzahan, and Pelini are the first three names to get kicked around.

All it says is Pelini, Tubberville, and Malzahn would likely be the top candidates, and the Mettenberger is staying no matter what. Also says a few players believe Miles is staying.

I know it's ESPN. It may not be worth a flip, just thought it was interesting since it's the first article from ESPN that has been "pro-staying" it seems like

Don't worry. I'm sure they will flip the script again in a few minutes. College football has ruined ESPN for me..

We are screwed. Welcome to Michigan, Brady Hoke

I'd rather Miles stay if the next coach would be one of those three. Each has his pro's/con's, but on balance, I think LSU is better off w/ Miles.
Now, if Patterson, Gruden, Mullen, Sark were realistic candidates ....
