The Philadelphia Eagles are hiring former Los Angeles Chargers and Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore as their offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday.

The move comes two days after the Eagles hired Vic Fangio as their defensive coordinator in the first move of a coaching staff overhaul by Nick Sirianni. Moore will replace Brian Johnson, who was fired earlier this week.

Have yet to understand why teams keep pursuing Kellen. He is decent, but nothing spectacular.

My lord…hurts is going to be expected to pass 40+ times a game now? Because that’s what you get with Moore as your OC. Dude refuses to run the ball.

Eagle fan, get ready for some bonehead play calls mixed in with inconsistent flashy plays.

Doug Nussmeier was the QB coach for KM at the Cowboys and Chargers. I wonder if he follows him to Philly because I believe the rest of the family still lives in the DFW area. He might be looking for anything closer to home. Then again, Nussmeier is a true coaching vagabond. He’s bounced all over the place.

Kellen Moore was interviewing for head coaching opportunities every offseason, then parts ways with Dallas, has to jump onto a sinking ship with the Chargers, and now takes a job with another coach on the hot seat in Philly.

Kellen Moore is nothing special, but he has a better track record and more experience than several recent head coaching hires. His main problem is his lineage. He comes from the Linehan\Garrett coaching tree. Teams want coaches from the Shanahan/McVay coaching tree.

He is horrible. He was not good with Dak and he was worse with a better quarterback in San Diego. What does Philly see in this guy?
