Doug Pederson is an offensive mind, has won a championship as a college player at ULM, as a NFL player and as a NFL HC and he knows and fits the culture of Louisiana having played college football at ULM and coached at Calvary Baptist in Shreveport

I’ve been saying all along I thought it was Chris Petersen but I think it’s Doug Pederson
He is a Jay Johnson type coach but with Kim Mulkey Resume

Then why not go ahead and make the announcement? It's not him.

We're now at the point where people are just searching for a name to throw out there, just in case some insane hire takes place. If it miraculously takes place, they can forever say, "I told you so." But when it doesn't happen, people will completely forget anyone ever mentioned it.

That would be a very interesting hire for LSU. But this coach will have an NFL HC gig again soon.

Either Peterson works , an NFL HC or a co-ordinator such as BoB - if the announcement is next week. No worthy HC going to a 6 bowl or playoffs would be announced that early

I wouldn't have a problem with hiring Doug Pederson.

He would do quite well here.

He's only 53 or 54. You could get 10 years out of him. Assuming he could recruit and fill his staff with recruiters, which is a question mark seeing as though he doesn't have much experience with that (other than the recruiting he would have done at Calvary, which I would imagine would be considerable), he might be great.

I do think we're probably overthinking this, though. I think this is done, and it's just a matter of days before we find out who it's done with.

Doug never played for a school named ULM. Northeast LA. UNIVERSITY is his school.
