You're right. Seems to be a lot of revisionist history of Arandas defenses while he was LSU.

How many coach of the year awards does he need to prove his worth?

Yeah participation trophy, Napier has done more with less

I’m sleeping on him. I would take Dave Aranda all day and twice on Sunday before Matt Campbell.

Napier coaches in the sun belt vs a sun belt schedule with sun belt talent.

Campbell coaches in the Big 12 vs a Big 12 schedule with nowhere close to Big 12 talent.

They've both done a lot with a little, but it's not apples to apples.

I guess you could say that . But I can remember Saban saying when he was here at LSU that he set a few goals every season , that one was to be SEC champions then National champs . If that wasn’t attainable then a bowl game was the next goal . It just seems to me that a HC should set the tone of what a team should be striving for . Just saying.

Purdy got benched for bad play each and every year. shite, I watched him get benched personally at the Iowa game.

You need to listen to they why behind those benchings. MC specifically states the U of I sitting wasn’t on a rock it was receivers and running backs and done to protect Brocks mentality. His problems in the Iowa game weren’t his. People were missing marks.

I was a member of a Saban-coached team. Goals were set before the season and I don't remember winning the national championship being anywhere close to the top of the list. Almost every single goal was related to getting better everyday and out working your opponent.

I was there for two of his benchings.

Vs Iowa, he threw 3 picks. He was missing his mark. He was awful.

Damnit, Campbell is not good enough to build the kind of dynasty we want and deserve at LSU. You've got to let this obsession go! Campbell cannot be the guy you want him to be. You must be kin to him.

What makes you so sure of this?

He's built a consistent winning program at Iowa state. Before that, he built up Toledo.

His recruiting at Iowa state is better now than it's ever been.

I really don't understand the hate.
