According to Scone Man, yes. He is in the final 2

So it's Sanford or Kragthorpe?

Listening to this Louisville guy, he's pro sanford and not in favor or krag.

That's just what they said on ESPN radio 104.5 in BR

He says no decision has been made and that is the 2

Interesting.
Kinda similar type of guys... solid track records with failed head coaching stops.
Both grounded in the running game.
Sanford runs the spread though. Kragthorpe is a pro-style guy.

He is also saying whoever it is, they will be the OC and not just the QB Coach, and they will have full play calling

So that probably means we're hiring Fuente as QB coach and promoting Stud then.

Miles looks like he wants someone older that won't bolt

I am so confused about these two. I thought kragthorpe was pass happy and Sanford was more of the pro style guy.
Listening to the louisiville guy it sounded like kragthorpe has no identity and Sanford actually uses a teams strengths.

From his time at A&M, Kragthorpe was more balanced... aiming for 50/50 run pass split.
Sanford is a spread guy all the way, and ideally wants to run his offense 95% from the shotgun. I linked an article about him in a post yesterday.
ETA: From Sanford's time at Utah he ran spread option. But he's a run first guy. Heavy run guy, in fact... like 65/35 is his ideal.

UL fans were very happy with the O this year. Sanford came in with the rep of being a spread guy, but of course, there are several different versions of the spread. The UL running game was very solid this year (Bilel Powell played himself into the draft, and when he got hurt for a couple of games, a young freshman came in and did just as well), and the two senior QBs put up pretty good numbers as well. Overall, Sanford's O worked very well, and all the skill players were more productive than they had been last year under Krags. But, as I wrote in another post, the O-line was full of big, experienced seniors this year and didn't suffer any major injuries. That undoubtedly helped. (Lots of people are expecting a bit of a fall off next year, simply because the entire O-line will have to be replaced.)

either/or is fine with me. we have the talent for both schemes

seems like sanford would make books happy or at the very least less suicidal.

I'd feel better with Sanford but am holding out hope that Fuente gets the gig.
This year has been the worst for wrong rumors in sports.

Have faith Books. Miles isn't done yet. I'm still hoping for a great hire, and the fact that nothing was announced after Krags' interview could mean more names to drop on TD.
