Does It Seem Like to You That the Admin

Is ruining our program while we're stressing out trying to keep it from sinking?
You would think we would be contemplating between a Cumbie a Freeze and an Okie State guy now. And instead we're just dumbfounded that someone wants Steve to be OC.
I'm old and tired but Steve is NOT the best candidate. Fight on Tiger fans!

Same admin that hired O.
Credit for keeping Aranda, but why not show that same commitment to the whole program? The HC hire? OC hire?

I mean, it sounds like they just told Orgeron to move on from Briles. While that sucked for many of us, it seemed like there were a lot of other candidates that were at least in the same ballpark as Briles. So it's hard to comprehend how Ensminger is really plan B for Orgeron.
Sorry, I can't put that on the admin.

It’s like they have the attitude of “okay, we locked up a great dc, so now we have to get an average to below average OC.”

The narrative will be “well they splashed the cash on Aranda so they gotta go cheap for OC bc LOL LSU iz seaux peaure.” Admin deserves it.

(TLDR: We could become completely irrelevant in a matter of years if our leadership continues to make reckless, "popular opinion" decisions)
Bottom line, and this thought makes me sick...
If we don't hire a fresh, brilliant offensive coordinator who can change the culture on that side of the ball, then our retainment of Aranda means precisely d!ck. We will just have been a stepping stone to him, leaving us wondering "what if?".
What if we had a competent offense back when we had Aranda? What if we had hired Aranda as head coach when Ed Orgeron promised and failed to improve the offense- the exact thing that his predecessor was fired for but refused to change?
This isn't being dramatic... this is the fricking reality that is staring us in the faces but everyone refuses to acknowledge it because Coach O has a cult following in Louisiana that will be much more forgiving than any outside fan base would be (see Ole Miss).
In reality, this is business. Big business. Multi million dollar business. And as long as arses are in seats and TAF dues are paid, nothing will change. Unfortunately it looks like the current administration won't make any necessary changes or adjustments until after significant monetary damage is done. And by then, we may be in a hole too deep to climb out of.
Anyone remember when Nebraska was in their hayday? Anyone get to experience that live or even remember seeing the atmosphere there on television? That place was lit and rocking. They let key coaches and administration get away, and let recruiting start to slip away to teams like Texas and Oklahoma. And now they aren't even a shadow of their former selves. It's been 20 years and they're still trying to get back to that golden age but it is a by gone era.
People make the claim that that won't happen to LSU because of our built in recruiting base. Plus we have a pipeline to Texas, Mississippi and Florida that is strong. But Nebraska had a strong built in recruiting base as well that has evaporated, as did all of the surrounding state pipelines that they had.
Hopefully something drastic happens to wake people up before it's too late to fix the problems we have. At this time they can all be rectified with smart management, a little risk and some patience.
