See Archer, Hallman, DiNardo and then see how much talent from LA played for other programs during their times

Right. They were all coming off 2 National Championships in a 5 year span. They all had the advantage of the best facilities in the nation. They all could offer a chance to play in the most dominate conference in the country.

Oh wait, no they didn't. Your 2011 LSU Tigers cannot be compared to the 1980-2000 Tigers. You are now talking about a top 10 team year in and out, as well as a top 10 money making/merchandising school in the country.

No school recruits itself, but some do so more than others. LSU is one of them.

Agreed we need to make the right hire. At the same time positigers are having a meltdown about something that hasn't happened yet. If Miles does leave we aren't gonna shut down the football program because we lost a coach that went 14-10 the last 3 years in the SEC. Miles is a good coach and we can hire another good coach. Who knows maybe we actually make it back to Atlanta again with or without Miles. I am gonna at least wait to see what happens before I have a meltdown.

I think LSU recruits itself when there is a good coach in place. Same goes for Alabama or any other bigtime program. Shitty coach will eventually cost a school in recruiting.
