Does Chris Low pay attention to anything?

For weeks, the ESPN blogger has been writing as if Orgeron is already in Knoxville recruiting for UT. And in his mailbag he pretty much states it as fact, contrary to everything else we all are being told and are hearing. Maybe he's right, it just annoys me that he hasn't so much even mentioned the fact Orgeron is being courted by LSU. I just think it's poor reporting.

Chris Low used to be employed by the Tennessean newspaper and was the beat writer for the Vols.

That's my point. He's supposed to be the SEC blogger, yet for 2 straight weeks it seemed like all he covered was the Kiffin hire. I wonder if he forgot about the other teams making a run at the NC in the conference.

That is how things work in the SEC. Tony Barnhardt for the AJC is the same way. Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia are the only schools that matter to these guys. Anyone else is just a footnote. Living in East Alabama, I have seen it in the media here for years. They honestly cannot believe that any recruit would want to go to LSU, that any coach would want to go there, that LSU would win a game, or that anyone would vote us high in the polls. And, this is no matter how well we do. But, the moment we don't win, they pile on and say what a disappointment we are. How could we lose with all that talent? For them, it confirms that we are irrelevant.
I am not making this up. Anyone outside of those four schools are treated the same way by the media elite connected to the SEC.

I agree.
My brother has lived in Huntville AL. for 20+ years and has repeatedly echoed your sentiment. I am glad to hear that he and I are not the only ones to notice this. Its has gotten worse this year with our record but even when LSU has done well the media never has anything too much or good to say. Espn in particular does not like LSU. They are bias to the point of rantarded. In the last 2 years I feel as though their reporting and coverage has attempted to affect certain programs. My guess is that their reporting O to UT so vehemenantly is another example of this.

I don't really have much problem with ESPN, unlike many on here. We got a lot of love from them last year.
But, media around the SEC is really amazing in that they focus primarily on Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee, no matter how those schools are doing.

ormer Tennessee defensive coordinator John Chavis has been mentioned as a possibility at LSU, and Miles is also expected to talk to some NFL assistants.
This was posted in his blog. Apparently he is trying to either cover his arse or he just doesn't believe the Coach O talk 100%. It sure sounds like he knows for sure in his mailbag piece, though.

My thoughts exactly Books. Maybe he knows something you don't.
