I feel good and am excited but I also have seen enough of these things happen to know there is a non zero chance that UF could be playing this perfectly. Like would it REALLY shock anyone for it to break that they’ve been quietly working this the entire time?

I believe LSU feels very confident. I also know that wouldn't stop Kiffin or Sexton from pulling a fast one at the end.

Until I see him at the podium, I’m not getting excited. I’m predicting he stays.

I don’t believe anything. Every UF fan account on X believes he’s been a lock to them for weeks and “he’s told UF he’s coming.” Hard to believe their sources are just making things up. I think he’s truly telling both sides what they want to hear until he makes the final decision. I don’t see how anyone can be “confident.”

Man, these last two coaching searches were a real punch in the gut. Thankfully we dodged Herman, and Riley is still up in the air. I know hindsight is 20/20, but I’ve definitely learned to cope a lot better through all this. It’s actually been a lot of fun following along, and I’m all-in on Kiffin, just waiting to see what actually happens.

As much as I’ve enjoyed laughing at spiraling OM fans I believe the pick is Florida. I’m good with it . I’m just ready for LSU to go get their coach . It’s never the team that they are talking about. LSU is the smokescreen unfortunately. IMO Kiffin would do great at LSU , and letting his ex wife steer his decision is a bad idea. She is his ex for a reason.

Don't have a clue and better yet, LSU doesn't put food on my table...

I honestly have no idea. My gut says he isn't coming to LSU but clearly I'm not ruling it out. Guessing it's b/c of prior searches that the supposed main target is never landed.

Would love to have him.

I still believe that he remains at Ole Miss, wins the Natty this season and they put a statue up in front of newly named Kiffin field at Vault Hemmingway stadium.

I don't trust him. So I would not be shocked if he flaked out. Plus if he does come....how many years until he screws us as is his history.

If we literally name one, you’re gonna tell us why he doesn’t count correct?

I think he stays at Ole Miss if he coaches the Egg Bowl. Everyone on this board will immediately conclude that he was trolling LSU the entire time. It won't matter whether that's true, or whether he changed his mind, or whether he is nuts.

LSU needs to announce a new coach before the 2:30 CT kickoff in Norman. The Egg Bowl ends by around 4:30 CT on Friday. If you don't get a public commitment from Kiffin by 7 pm on Friday, then you should come to terms with Dillingham on Friday night.

Like most on here, Kiffin is my top choice. But coaching the Egg Bowl with the playoffs on deck does not make sense if he has already decided to leave Ole Miss.

I don't see it really happening. I think the timing is off. I still think it is somebody not on the radar yet. Kelly really messed this program up. It may take some time to fix.
