Do we really know who/if anyone got "played" here??

Riley almost seemed mad when he said he wasn't going to be the coach at LSU. It wasn't dismissive, it was almost like a guy that wish he had that option but knew he didn't. You guys are so easy to believe Woodward got played here. There is just as much proof that Woodward is playing this out just like he planned it with Riley being a logical piece to move around on the board.
Maybe at the end of the day, it comes out that Riley did reject us. I'm saying that as of right now, we do not know that this is the case and Woodward may be who we thought he was!(Denny Green voice)

We'll never know for sure unless there is proof that whoever the coach is was locked up weeks ago. That would mean the Riley talk was just rumors that were allowed to continue. It's doubtful that we'll ever know that for sure though. This board just automatically goes into melt down mode if they don't get exactly what they want or think is supposed to happen. All the information was based off of rumor from "insiders" who were probably given bad information to start with.

The only I am certain of is that none of us really “know” anything. This board is nothing but people speculating with a select few that present themselves as insiders.

lets see, we know a few things.
Everything that said Riley was coming to LSU was from a message board from anonymous people with "sources".
Then we know Riley himself said he isn't coming to LSU.
This is a case of nobody knows anything and the internet is a great place to make things up.

Naw...I didn't get played. The one thing I'm guilty of is "almost" being pulled into the Riley hype by this board. Ginger, my opinion of your coach is that he's gonna be really good but never quite good enough. I would 10x's prefer someone like Fickell. I would even rather have Aranda. Riley is a dress-up, play nice,watered down version of Lane Kiffin. Congrats on reveling in the fact that you "played" the LSU fanbase by making us think we were getting Kiffin-Lite as our coach. Now pony up and pay him more for finishing 3rd in the weakest P5 conference in America!
