Do not separate the Safety and CB position

It needs to be unified to a DB’s coach position. I think at times this year we were not in synch solely because that position was separated. I come with an answer. Hire Jimmy Lake as the DB coach.

Maybe you should sit this one out, Google expert. Google incorrectly pulled that number from an article about his buyout when he was fired. If an NFL AHC made $16,000,000 a year you’d have every good college coach leaving for an NFL role every year.

I think you’re on to something here. Coordinating the defensive backfield has been a problem for us. 22’ and 23’ yuck. And I don’t think we split them until this year. I could be wrong about that.

No way he makes more than Sean McVay. That makes no sense. A position coach making more than the head coach.

They've been split since 2018 when the NCAA added an additional on-field coach.
A lot of teams have the CB/ safety separate model. Chevis is CBs/ co-DC at Marshall. Terry Joseph is CBs at Texas. Aranda still has his guys separate.

Now you need a TE’s coach though. Unless the new OC will be the TE’s guy as well.
