This needs to be taken with a major grain of salt, but a friend of mine who has some lower level connections at South Carolina told me there's some buzz that LSU is pursuing their Edge Coach, Sterling Lucas.

Obviously with how quiet this search is, nothing is off the table here. Lucas would be a pretty good hire, He coached the DL for the Ravens and Jaguars before going to SC.

ETA: Now confirmed, Lucas is the new target.

ahh yes, to pair well with the already established edge coach we currently employ.

Lucas has coached IDL before in the league, as I mentioned.

The only other scenario would be moving Peoples inside. He's done that before

I think it would be a combined effort. However, I do see Peoples moving inside and Lucas can coach the Edge… they both have a mixed time coaching DL and Edge so would be a decent move imo

Hopefully this works out better than the last DL coach LSU hired from South Carolina.

South Carolina’s fan reactions makes this seem like we hit a homerun…..

Especially if he takes Dylan Stewart with him.

Yeah, we usually wont lie about coaches leaving. When it's a good coach/player leaving we are pretty honest. This would be a large loss.

*TCU fans should take note.

If South Carolina is good at anything, it always seems like their d-line is pretty damn good every year.

Because the last DL coach we hired from South Carolina worked out so well

we were happy when you took that last guy. We would not be happy if you took Lucas. That's a difference

Didnt he end up having health issues and barely contribute. Ended up being more of an off the field role
