Am I missing something here? It’s been pretty widely reported Kelly reached out to Florida. 
Maybe he was trying to get more money from us. Or maybe he just wanted to do his due diligence and chose us. But it’s been reported he reached out to them. Y’all relax

Just the opposite. Trace Armstrong blew smoke for money out of LSU like he did for USC and Riley. LSU never had conversations with Riley for months.

I could see his agent checking with Florida but I doubt Brian Kelly himself called them and asked if they’d hire him.
If it was his agent that’s not saying much, why wouldn’t you check in on every possible opening?

I doubt it, i think it was pretty obvious to all parties that napier wasn't LSU's guy. I doubt they were very concerned at florida
UF hired him quickly because they needed to hire him quickly, obviously the sooner you can get a guy in before early signing the better

I’m sure Florida was aware of the chatter about us possibly having interest in Napier when it was looking like we missed our shot at Riley.
