Did Florida pull the trigger on Muschamp too soon?

Shouldn't they have waited until after their bowl, and just put feelers out? I'm not sure who they'll get right now that's better, and now that he has a QB his team looks good.

No
Recruiting was starting to dip and the overall excitement in the program just went to shite

I think I still would have let him go, but I do kinda think one more year might have been reasonable after this one.

What's this have to do with the UGA-GTA game?

I want him to stay and beat Georgia with us again next year.

I thought he should have got one more year

no, FSu is mediocre, and has looked like this against a host of shitty teams.
Florida turned how 4 turnovers into 13 points, and a pick 6 for the other team.
This game is a reminder of why the hired and fired Muschamp

I think Will should join a decent staff as DC, gain more seasoning, and take another shot as HC in a few years. I still think he has some potential.

I don't think boom is a bad head coach. He was just unlucky to have complete busts as his QBs. They have loads of talent everywhere else and their defense has been consistently good.
With that said, yeah, it was time for him to go.

I think they might have. I don't have a problem with the firing but I thought he should have been gone after last year. But I would have been ok with another year after this year.

In time, he'd be solid. Florida isn't the place for a 1st time HC.

That's a valid point

Ultimately, he's also responsible for the O and ST too. The offense hasn't been good enough to win.

Last year sucked, but so many injuries. I certainly thought the same in general terms

I think getting thrown into the fire at UF was exactly what he needed. If he started fresh right now with UF, I think he could get the program rolling, but the last four years gaining that seasoning really put strain on the program and its fans. He could coach anywhere right now besides the big time schools and do well.

This. Makes or breaks coaches. Muschamp with a decent QB would be winning 10 games a year. Florida might regret this depending on who they hire.

Absolutely not. QB issues aside, he put up some horrible results at a place that has no reason to not be good these days. His '12 was the worst 1 loss team I think I have ever seen. The Sugar Bowl blowout should not have been unexpected.
He may be better if he gets another shot, but Florida would have been crazy to keep him around and expect different results. As an opposing fan, I was pulling for one more year

No, he had time and did not meet expectations on the field. Muschamp did clean up the program, but that's not priority.
