Isn’t he techcnically listed Associate HC already? He should have as much power as O right now.

What does that even mean? Seems pretty empty to me.

Or you can just make gumbeaux a figure head with no real responsibility like FSU did with Bowden and Fisher

Coach in waiting tag may be only way to keep him if the aTm offer is north of 3.5 MM

Yeah, that's like putting the plane on autopilot and telling the co-pilot it's his once the fuel runs out.

O is not a 65-year-old who’s been at the same job for 10+ years. You can’t designate a coach in waiting under him. It totally undermines the very little power he still has. You’ve got to support him or fire him. And we can’t fire him until next year at the earliest.

He doesnt want to be a HC, especially if he can get $3 million to stay a DC

As hard as it may seem, firing O now would be a win for us in every regard.....and double whammy for aTm

Yeah, that's an empty title that has zero negotiating power in LSU's situation. You don't do that unless your HC is known to be retiring soon.

well forcibly retire him like Bowden at FSU. Do onto Jimbo what he did to Bowden per se at least in this case Jimbo on short end of the stick

O wasnt who he said he would be. No sympathy. Stop the trauma and cut the dead weight. O, Alleva, and F King for the hat trick.

No that would not work. Either cut bait or live with consequences. Sadly the latter will be the option.

That shite doesn’t work. That’s why no one does it anymore.

Its really scary that its a difficult decision to decide between an elite coordinator and Ed O
