Per sources: The #Bills are one of the teams that have requested an interview with #Broncos OL coach Sean Kugler. Denver is currently blocking teams from interviewing any of their coaches.

Von Miller's mom called it. Elway is an arse.

What's the catch? They have to pay more?

Can’t interview them without permission.

Pretty shitty especially when you fired your HC

Because Kubiak might stay on as OC once the new HC is in place, which btw looks to be Fangio.

Denver should get a black eye in coaching circles if the new HC doesn't retain any coach that had interviews requested

Why did the nfl vote this shitty "have to get teams approval" rule this year?
So far it's been a disaster.

I don't want either. This has 8-8 written all over it. Elway needs to move into the new millennium instead of old school good ole boy hires.

I don’t think NFL teams can block a coach for interviewing if it is for a better position.

For example, a DL coach could interview for a DC position, or a DC could interview for a HC.

I know a few years ago the trend was to hire a coach for the same position, but add a title like Assistant Head Coach or Running Game Coordinator. Technically, that would be a promotion and a way to circumvent the rule.

The NFL put in a rule to prevent that work around. I guess coaches under contract can’t interview for a similar position, even if their team doesn’t have a HC, and they might be out of a job as soon as a new coach is hired.

I'm right there with you. It's almost time for Elway to go.

They’ve needed permission for forever fwiw

The only recent rule change they’ve done is that they have to now also ask colleges for permission to interview their coaches.

Assistant shocker: Gary Kubiak will not be Denver’s offensive coordinator, league sources tell ESPN.

After lengthy discussions, Denver and Kubiak had different ideas on staffing and offensive philosophies. Both sides going in different directions.
