Denbrock is less likely now.

I was one of the first to say he should be considered the favorite. That is no longer. The reason is because of Brennan. I mentioned when this all began that if Brennan returned, Denbrock wouldn’t be here. Brennan does not care for the system. That tone could have changed, but not likely.

Briles, and Ruggiero were names that were mentioned besides Denbrock. Curious to see how it unfolds.

FWIW, I was told that a lot of people in Ops have no clue who OC is going to be right now.

I believe what he's saying is that Brennan would not be likely to come back if he didn't like the OC. He's not saying that Kelly is asking Brennan for Brennan's short list of OCs.

Don’t think that is what he is saying. I think he means Myles knows the OC so him coming back means it’s not Denbrock

My understanding is this is Kelly’s system, the oc will run what CBK wants.

I understand that. But Brennan would not be coming back if it were Denbrock.

Could have changed, but that was one of the first things I was told.

Brennan only has 1 year left. Who knows if that is even true.

I doubt brian kelly is picking an oc solely on if brennan likes it.

Myles is back because our new HC sat him down and sold him on why he should return.

It’s more likely Myles was waiting on word of the OC to make his decision

I think what OP means is Brennan’s decision to stay depended on the OC and he wouldn’t have stayed if it was someone he didn’t like. OP is assuming Brennan knows who it is or at least knows who it isn’t.

Brennan is not involved with the OC hiring, just from the beginning he was not a fan of Denbrocks system. So if that were the case, then he knows it’s not Denbrock. Brennan was not going back there thinking who wanted, he was thinking who he didnt want. If that makes sense.

Who knows though, he might have changed his mind. But doubtful.

You were also told that Riley was a done deal, even after Riley flat out said he wasn't going to be coaching at LSU. So, whatever you are told doesn't really carry much weight, for obvious reasons.

If he is, then we ARE in trouble. I mean, you might think about it if it’s Joe Burrow you were trying to get to come back (if he could have) after the 2019 season, but Brennan ain’t Joe Burrow.
