Notre Dame OC Tommy Rees is remaining at the school, sources tell @SINow. He’s turned down an opportunity to move with Brian Kelly to #LSU.

Can’t blame the guy. I’m excited to see who CBK can bring in!

Good for him; gives him the opportunity to run the offense on his own.

I liked the idea of Rees. I didn't love the idea of Rees.

He was. There was no interference from Kelly.

you say that, but the perception is going to be that he’s running Kelly’s offense as long as he’s working under him.

I don’t not want Rees. I wouldn’t hate it, but would prefer someone else more exciting.

Agreed. Would’ve been happy to have him. But not crazy excited about him.

In a weird way I like the fact that BK is going to be picking his exact needs based on the type of talent and game he wants to run here.

So are they making him the head coach? It’s weird to see an announcement that an offensive coordinator is being retained before they hire a new head coach… are they gonna make the new head coach keep him on?

EDIT: Apparently it recently broke that Freeman is their coach now?

Thank God. His offense was very uninspiring. I’d rather Kelly bring back some of his offense from his Cincinnati days.

So no assistants from ND for BK? He’s starting from scratch? Can’t be right.
