Lot of good up and comers out there. Just no retreads please like Steele or muschamp.

Reeves is a better hire than Freeman just not as hyped.

If it’s Steele will there be the same level of melt it caused years ago when les did it?

Steele is working for that Alabama pension, isn't he?

I totally agree.

Who needs a pension when you can get that sweet LSU buyout cash?

Is Reeves running the show or is Bill Clark?

That legendary Alabama pension. Often discussed.

Yep. Freeman isn’t the only up and comer out there. Arnett and Lukabu could be just as good here.

Why hasn’t Reeves moved on from UAB yet. You never hear his name for big dc jobs. I don’t know why. Just wondering

Probably more questions here if he's in full control of the defense than what we saw in Freeman. Not just that not sure they've really played any power 5 school and consistently shown he can do it at the next level.
Wouldn't hate the hire but I don't think you start him off at 2.5+ million either because it's more riskier.

He was working as a linebackers coach after getting fired at Clemson. My disgust level was at an all time high. Of course the gift of aranda a year later was worth it.

String rumors that Bill Clark is the main man behind UABs defense

I don’t get why people keep using this line of thinking; isn’t that something you look for in a coordinator hire-“Who did this guy learn from & work with?” Why is it ok to promote Raymond to DC who’s never been anything more than a position coach. I mean everyone is ecstatic because we hired an OC & PGC who worked under/for Brady. What’s the difference? He’s a coordinator under a HC who, apparently, is a damn good defensive coach who is VERY much involved in the defensive coaching, scheming, & game planning; sound familiar? If he’s sitting there soaking it all in by working alongside & with Clark, isn’t that a plus? Sometimes a head coach has to step in but they usually don’t keep the guy he’s stepping in for around for 5 years. I don’t know what/who the answer is but I do know I like what this guy has accomplished & think, if Clark really is a big part of the defense, then he can bring everything he’s learned with him to LSU.
