A&M needs a much more aggressive style/mindset on defense who adds physicality
It always irritated me with chavis was he was way too conservative at times with the bend but don't break defense.
A&M has some talented players on the defensive side but were extremely poorly coached IMO.

Total Defense - 15th (313.6 ypg)
Rush Defense - 42nd (146.2 ypg)
Pass Defense - 9th (167.4 ypg)
Scoring Defense - 47th (24.4)
Looking at their season, they went 1-3 in games that they allowed more than 27 points in:
44 to Boise State (Win)
37 to Cal (Loss)
58 to Arizona (Loss)
41 to Washington (Loss)
In two of those losses, Cal (3) and Washington (14), their offense completely shite the bed.
They forced 27 turnovers and committed 29 turnovers. Of those 29 turnovers, they committed 3 against Boise State, 7 against Cal, 4 against Arizona, and 4 against Washington.
In their other 8 wins, they committed a combined 11 turnovers.
