All the blitzes were put in by an analyst, Kevin Coyle. Daronte can have his DC tryout year at Jacksonville State.

Maybe Aranda was giving back a recommendation to Orgeron for him being a dick on his comments about him? Jones sure didn't have any good secondaries in the NFL but he wasn't working with anything great either.

After the bowl game all the Jones simps on here will want him fired again.

The Aranda recommended him thing got twisted so much by the re do the Joe Brady offense crowd.

Orgeron said everybody we talked to about daronte said he was great etc etc including Dave. No way on earth Aranda said this guy is who should be your DC. The article about him being considered the honorary Joseph cousin pretty much tells us how he got the job. Mickey Joseph recommended him probably on Vance's advice.

It is funny how people believe the kiffin told O they were running base D and O said I know and then not believe the very next sentence of the PC where O said him and the analyst were the guys who changed the D and installed the blitz package. How some of these people take one sentence to heart and then dismiss the next one is somehting i have always gotten a real kick out of.

its been a wild subplot of the CCB this year.

The illiterate shrimp boat captain became a defensive mastermind and no analyst ever is supposed to come up a suggestion that helps the coordinator. Otherwise WhY ARe THeY A COOdinATOR?!?? Should we fire all analysts and ‘shadow staff’ because if we ever use them it’s proof the coaching staff is inept at their job?

I mean it’s okay to say that even though the defense improved greatly in the last half of the year using mainly backups but still say you don’t want to hire Daronte. It has zero effect on who the hire is so tying yourself to some wild conspiracy is completely unnecessary.

You don’t have to be a “mastermind” to see that things needed to be changed and go back and look at some film to see what was successful before.that is not all that advanced.

And analysts come up with stuff all the time. That’s why they are being paid. Saban has more analysts than anyone. They are certainly giving him useful info every week.

I made a post a few months ago about this, and I expect Daronte to be our DB coach if we don't find a replacement. He was a DB in college until nerve damage. He's coached DBs from the high school level, all the way to the NFL. He even coached my white arse to be a decent high school safety so I do have a bit of bias. He's extremely intelligent, and understands scheme. I didn't think he was ready for LSU level of DC, but I think he can be a great guy for a smaller program or maybe even ours in a few years.

Kerry Cooks has already been announced as a member of the defensive staff, and his background is coaching DBs.

Now he could split DB duties with Daronte with one taking CBs and the other safeties as we've had these last few years.

Peetz was an NFL coach recommended by Joe Brady I’d take moron O’s interpretation of “recommended” with a grain of salt because it sounds like he was hearing what he wanted to hear

They both were nonetheless NFL position coaches and don’t we have to pay them next year?

I respect the HC’s authority to do whatever he wants with his staff, but to act like they couldn’t bring value because of your observation during a sinking ship of a season is a little myopic and dare say emotional
