I see alot of people want him to be the next OC, im just wondering what make you think he would leave okie state? Can we pay him more or does he have ties to LA? What is it?

Why do I personally think he'd leave? For the same reason CLM left okie state. LSU's a better gig.

There might be other positions that are better for him that will come available this year, so I'm not saying that he's going to be ours if we want him...just saying that moving to OC at LSU is a better job than the same at okie state.

And, though I don't know what coaches at okie state make (though I know that CLM left a legacy of them being paid well), something tells me that being OC at a major SEC school pays a little better than there.

That's it. I'm now convinced that it's karma. Holgorsen is the next OC at LSU!

Just read on the ULL new board, Ragin Pagin, that Holgorsen is wanted at ULL. Much was written that Fl and others will be in a bidding war for him. Gunter Brewer is also being considered. He was the previous OC. Interesting competition. They plan to pay $400+ for the new HC.

He's not coming here I heard that he may be moving on to a 7 figure salary next season as an OC.

He makes $350K a year. LSU pays Crowton $900K a year. Now, Gundy said he will make it a priority to get Holgorsen more money soon. They could double his salary and it still would not be as much as LSU could pay him.

He has no family. He has no home...lives in an apartment. All he has to do is pack a suitcase.

LSU has so much tremendous talent that any OC would drool over the chance to coach them. OK State has gotten better talent wise over the past few years...but they cannot match what is available to work with at LSU.

Gundy is very worried about losing him. He is selling the following to Holgorsen: why would you want to go somewhere else as an OC and start over? Hang around here for another couple of years, we'll kick some more defensive arse, and then you can go elsewhere as an HC. Gundy said as much in an article in the Tulsa World a couple of weeks ago.

450. No coordinator in the SEC makes anywhere close to 900

If Dana leaves it will be for a HC job not another OC job. He's already getting plenty of pub with his offense at OSU and he has 10/11 starters coming back on offense next year. He wants to be a HC, why would he leave to go to another school and risk having a shitty year on offense as an OC? If he leaves to take another OC job then all he is doing is risking loosing some of his luster IMO. Obviously LSU UT and FU are better/higher profile gigs but he's got his system in place and all his stock is going to do is rise if he stays with all the fire power coming back. He'll get a HC gig either this year or next.

Agreed, but I can dream. I think he stays put thsi season and takes an HC gig next year but that's my humble opinion.
