Dabo Swinney had never been fired as HEAD COACH, Coach O had failed as HC

Okay, NOW STFU about Dabo. Coach O had FAILED AS HEAD COACH, and was not interviewed at other spots.

Dude, you are a moron. Is O the ideal HC? No. I would have preferred Herman as well. However, a CEO-type arrangement is not unprecedented and CAN work. Just not ideal.
We already KNOW that not many others can out-recruit O. And thats a big part of being a successful HC. And in a worst case scenario, if O does not make it as head coach, he would most likely be leaving a lot of talent for the next coach.
Im disappointed like others on here. But my disappointment is that we didnt get Herman (and feel like we could have played out the negotiations a little longer.) But if Herman is off the board, I'm okay with hiring O. Also frees up $ to hire the best coordinators out there.
In addition to an off coordinator, I hope O understands the need to recruit better offensive linemen.
