Cullota said yesterday on his show that he was onboard with Riley until his press conference following the loss to Baylor. It was at that point that he decided that he wouldn't be a good fit.

So he's all good with Napier until he says something. He was all in on Lane until the Tennessee game

Riley is the worst fit out of all the candidates. I don’t get the hype with him, he hasn’t proven a thing in that weak conference. He’s a whiner and not very tough….but a monkey can win at LSU, he’s definitely a big upgrade from what LSU has had since Saban.
But I think there are better options for LSU and the culture….Napier being one

Honestly, where do you people come from? You think Napier’s resume is more proven than Riley’s? What the frick

He was pumping Kiffin for the job before Napier until it became obvious Kiffin is not a candidate.

Trust me, i think he is way more into napier than he should be, but he also has had him on his show for a couple years now, so i can see why he is biased. But i disagree that he wants to become the next ponamsky

Who cares about resume when it comes to fitting the LSU and SEC culture? You guys can’t see the forest through the trees, simple thinking. You really think Riley is a dog? Just listen to him and see how he runs his program, not much toughness at all. But hey, his QBs run around and throw it real pretty to wide open dudes against weaklings. Napier would kill it here, and I hope I’m wrong….but he’s gonna kick our arse when he gets Florida rolling. Napier at Florida is a scary thought

Why is Napier so above paying his dues and going to a stepping stone power 5 job?

It’s clearly because he’s afraid of failure. He wants a big job now. Moving to a smaller P5 job would push that back at least 2-3 years. And risks him losing his shine.

Because it’s not a requirement. Ask Ryan Day, Lincoln Riley, Kirby Smart etc.

What do all of these people have in common? Elite P5 coordinator for CFP teams. There’s two roads to a big time job: elite P5 coordinator at elite school or successful P5 head coach at a stepping stone school.

This isn’t a problem because unlike 2016 the AD isn’t susceptible to media pressure

I’m a big Napier guy. However, on paper Riley is a grand slam. I’m in.

If Napier were to get the job I have a strong belief he’d build a consistent NC contender.

Liking Riley and Napier, or any other coaches, isn’t mutually exclusive. But as has been said a million times every coach has faults - some perceived, some real. And no one has a look into the future to know 100% who’s best. And all opinions are valid. Seeing some attacking those with different opinions calling other posters “stupid” or “idiots” gets to be so exhausting. It’s much better when friendly, honest debate takes place.

We’re all Tiger fans who want the best. It’s ok to see different paths to that goal.

I’m a huge Napier fan, and Napier would be at least 5th on the list of the coaches named.

Riley and Aranda are the first choice

this is me. got people accusing me of being a napier fan boy because im a huge fan, but he is no higher than 5 for me.

if being honest my list would be

Riley(wtf doesnt have him #1 unless you want urban??)
aranda
fickel
cristobal
jimbo
napier
tucker
campbell
Kiffin
Gundy(at this point wtf might as well get a man )
